I dedicate this lengthy blog post to Queen Hiruko Shizuhara I. Buckle up folks, I’m about to get nerdier than usual with it. It’s time for another blog about Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy; not super long after I wrote about a song off the game’s soundtrack. What can I say? This game has left a deep impression on me. To a degree very few other works have managed. Let’s be real it’s too damn big to write one blog post analyzing the whole thing. Well, maybe I could, but the word count would probably go insane. And if you know my blogs you know they can be pretty damn long already. So instead I’m picking a specific part of the game to analyze and there may be another LDA blog analyzing some other part of it later. Or maybe not. Maybe I’ll get hit by a car tomorrow and you’ll never hear from me again! Who knows right? Either way this particular blog post focuses on one of my favorite parts of this game: the Hiruko Dictatorship Arc.
Now, I don’t think it’s actually called that, at least, not as far as I know. But I’m coining the term now and I think the fanbase should roll with it. What the fuck else are you going to call it? If you already know what part I’m talking about, this blog is for you. If you haven’t the slightest clue, maybe not so much. Also if you’re deep enough in the game to guess what I mean by the Hiruko Dictatorship Arc, but not deep enough in the game to know what happened to Sirei, this blog post probably isn’t for you just yet either. We’re looking at the events that transpire during Hiruko Shizuhara’s reign as leader with the power of hindsight and spoiler-y information. There’s your warning.
