  • Pondering a Problematic Favorite: Tsuiraku JK to Haijin Kyoushi

    I’m probably about to tell on myself quite a bit here, I hope you’re ready. I fucking love (some) problematic media. To be honest, I don’t think it’s possible to enjoy weeb shit as much as I do without being able to accept problematic content. If you are uncomfortable with associating sexuality with teenagers then a lot of anime will be hard to watch. And if you’re uncomfortable with media that has age gaps and improper relationships then a lot of good shoujo manga won’t be for you. Take Tsuiraku JK to Haijin Kyoushi for instance. It’s a lovely manga where the main character attempts suicide in the first chapter and becomes romantically entangled with the teacher that stops her.

    If that description gives you pause, I think your hesitance is well justified. A clumsy handling of that premise could make something morally repugnant. To some people the premise itself is morally repugnant regardless of execution. If this manga ever got an anime the social media wars over it would be a sight to behold. Regardless, you can count me on the side that loves this series whole heartedly. It constantly teeters on the boundaries of acceptability while being fully aware of where those boundaries lie. So let’s talk about it~

  • Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade Game Trade Review

    Once upon a time I wanted a friend of mine to check out Persona 5. At the time this game was pretty much the coolest thing ever to me and I wanted to spread the word. I do not remember the exact details of how it played out but he ultimately agreed to play the game on the condition that I play all 3 main Kingdom Hearts games. My renewed interest in video games was starting to flourish at the time so I did not mind the arrangement. After completing each game we gave long winded reviews over text discussing what we thought of the game. And after he beat Persona 5 and I eventually completed the Kingdom Hearts trilogy we decided to continue the trade with a new batch of games. Thus the game trade was born, and this review is the result of one of those game trades. I figured since I have this blog site I’ve barely written anything in this would be good content. Furthermore, I took so long to complete this game so a longer form review seems fitting. And so, here are my thoughts on Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade.

    So tonight I got stoned for the first time in like, 4 days. For the vast majority of my life going that long without weed was normal for me. Yet it feels like a long ass time to go without now, especially since I happen to be pretty stressed at the moment. I think I might have a bit of a problem but any ways, doing this helped me get in the mood to make this post. So let’s talk about Pearl Jam.

  • Welcome

    Hello everyone, welcome to my website. Essentially, this is going to be a blog where I write about what I feel like writing about. For example I will likely write a lot about various media I enjoy (or maybe hate enough to rant about). I particularly take interest in anime, manga, video games, light novels, music, and movies. If your interests have any overlap with mine then you just might have come to the right place. I will not limit this site to media commentary however. I will write whatever I feel like writing on here. I may also post some content that is not writing.

    Now I figure I should introduce myself. You all can call me Cosmia. As of the time of me writing this I am a guy in his early twenties trying to figure his life out. I am currently in grad school for computer science yet I’m setting up a WordPress blog from a default template instead of designing the website myself. I am perfectly capable of building a website from scratch if I put my mind to it, but that takes time to do and I feel like writing right away. I’ll probably modify this website’s looks and layout later though. There are many things I like about computer science, and if I stay on this path I will likely end up with a pretty well paying job. But it is far from the only thing I’m interested in, hence why I made this.

    I am an avid media consumer, an animal lover, and a left wing individual that is concerned about what’s happening in my country. On that note, if you’re a transphobe or anything like that you can fuck right off.
